BIM (REVIT) / CAD MANAGER

Position Summary:

► Updates system-wide BIM/CAD libraries with appropriate graphic and written assets from current building codes, energy codes, and requirements of regulatory agencies.
► Enforces the usage of these digital library templates and assets across all our projects.
► Consistently applies SWA’s Quality Control procedures and takes ownership of their work.
► Develops and drafts architectural and engineering site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details, assists management in preparing proposals and generates correspondence for clients and project managers.
► Contribute to the documentation, dissemination, and monitoring of standards, best practices and industry advancements.
► Maintains and complies with SWA’s and client-specific standards (CAD, File Management, etc.)
► Participates in occasional team meetings to help resolve project issues such as coordination, scheduling, and technical concerns.
► Be responsible for providing/sourcing Revit training through a combination of onsite, remote and/or online training courses – geared toward making most effective use of Revit in the architectural process.
► Conduct periodic intra-office coordination meetings relating to Revit.
► Participate in project kick-off meetings to identify tasks and issues relating to project teams and collaboration; identify and resolve project specific issues in setting up the Revit model.
► Research developments in the industry to “keep ahead of the curve” so that all of our Revit users have the appropriate tools & skillsets to be productive.

Requirements / Qualifications:

► Associate's degree or completion of trade school or equivalent formal training
► 6+ years AEC working experience with at least 3 years in an architecture firm is a must
► Ability to encourage and train effectively and tactfully, in-person and via web conference.
► Extensive knowledge of Revit 2016 or newer version
► Expert with AutoCAD 2016 or newer version
► Familiarity with AutoCAD/BIM (Revit) programming languages (LISP/VBA/ARX) is a bonus
► Familiarity with SketchUp, Navisworks (collision detection), and other 3D software is a plus
► Familiarity with Network technologies and platforms (Microsoft)
► Familiarity with government agency standards is a plus (OSHPD, DSA, LADBS, etc)
► Experience in electronic file transfers (email, FTP, CD/DVD, Box, DropBox)
► Experience with the MS Office suite and other business software (Microsoft 365 is a plus)
► Experience with Program Management and Project collaboration software, such as ProCore, Newforma, and BlueBeam.

ENTRY LEVEL / JUNIOR DESIGNER

Position Summary:

► Junior Designer with 0-3 years experience in an architecture firm
► Proficiency with REVIT, AutoCAD, and Sketch-Up preferred
► Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud is strongly preferred
► Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must
► Detail-orientated and collaborative team member
► Strong verbal, written and organizational skills
► Self-motivated and quick learner

Requirements:

► Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in related field of Architecture desirable
► Legal authorization to work in USA

 

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR

Position Summary:

► Construction Administrator with at least 10 years’ experience overseeing technically complex healthcare facilities, construction projects, and OSHPD procedures
► A strong understanding of construction process paperwork handling, including but not limited to RFIs, Submittals and Schedules
► In depth understanding of Contract Document Drawings and Specifications.
► Builds and maintains favorable working relationships with Clients, Contractors and all other  team members
► Perform on-site observations and produce field reports
► Makes substantial completion inspections/determination and prepares certificated with list of deficiencies and other close-out activities

Requirements:

► Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or in another related field.
► Knowledge of California Building and Fire and Accessibility Codes
► Must be Proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT
► Knowledge of Microsoft Suite a must
► Strong verbal, written and organizational skills
► Excellent Interpersonal and time management skills

 

PROJECT MANAGER

Position Summary:

► Project Manager with 15 years or more experience in project management
► In depth construction document preparation and coordination experience
► Construction administration experience
► Solid comprehension of State and Local Building Codes, including Accessibility
► Experience with OSHPD
► Experience working with clients and leading teams
► Expert verbal, written and organizational skills

Requirements:

► California Architectural License registration desirable
► Degree in related field of Architecture from an Accredited Institution is desired
► AutoCAD and REVIT Architecture knowledge a plus
► LEED Accreditation encouraged
► Legal authorization to work in USA

 

JOB CAPTAIN

Position Summary:

► Job Captain with 10 years expertise
► Knowledge and experience in all phases of architectural projects
► Ability to collaborate with team members
► Solid comprehension of State and Local Building Codes, including Accessibility
► Proficient skills in Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up and Microsoft Suite are a must
► Detail-orientated and collaborative team member
► Strong verbal, written and organizational skills
► Self-motivated and quick learner
► OSPHD Experience Desirable 

Requirements:

► Bachelor’s Degree in related field of Architecture from an Accredited Institution is desired
