JOB TITLE: Architect
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lead the development of comprehensive design solutions, including detailed drawings, architectural specifications, and construction documents for diverse projects. Conduct schematic design, feasibility studies, and code evaluations, as well as create presentations utilizing advanced software. Oversee projects from initial concept through to the production of construction documentation. Collaborate closely with clients and team members to ensure design integration, compliance with regulations, and timely project delivery.
Use architectural software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp to conduct schematic design, conceptualize models, and address complex architectural challenges.
Conduct detailed feasibility assessments, planning studies, design layouts, code evaluation, and construction detailing by utilizing Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Software.
Prepare detailed design drawings, architectural specifications, and construction documents tailored to meet project-specific requirements.
Lead the development of site planning and architectural design solutions for medical, healthcare, industrial, and other structural projects, ensuring compliance with functional requirements and project specifications.
Perform Building Information Modeling (BIM) operations, including 2D drafting, parametric 3D modeling, designing and managing Revit families, and handling design options, with a strong understanding of sequencing and phasing.
Oversee all phases of assigned projects, from initial concept and design development to scheduling and the production of construction documentation packages.
Collaborate with clients, reviewing and discussing architectural drawings, design plans, and modifications to ensure that all project elements align with their functional needs.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure seamless design integration and alignment with construction plans.
Monitor and ensure compliance with state and local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards, continuously evaluating architectural practices and the technical adequacy of designs.
Implement quality control measures throughout the design and construction phases to ensure that all documentation adheres to company standards and project requirements.
Manage project budgets, work plans, and schedules, ensuring efficient team performance and adherence to key deliverable dates.
Foster ongoing communication through team meetings and update memos, coordinating efforts to ensure timely project completion within budget.
Maintain a collaborative working relationship with the project team members (including consultants, contractors, engineers, and other professionals), acting as an intermediary between clients and the architectural team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Master's in Architecture or a related field plus 36 months of experience in job offered or related experience in architecture field. PLUS must be licensed architect in California.
